Fetal Medicine Unit
Welcome to the homepage of Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit of
The Department of Obstetrics and
Gynaecology of The Chinese University of
Hong Kong. The unit was established in 1996, and is now one of the largest
centre of prenatal diagnosis and therapy in Hong Kong. It is also accredited by the
Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as the training centre for Maternal Fetal Medicine.
The unit also co-organises various high-quality training courses with
international organisations including
Fetal Medicine Foundation
and International Academy of
Medical Ultrasound. The latest development of the unit is One-stop clinic for prenatal screening of
Down syndrome and laser therapy for Twin-twin
transfusion syndrome.
